Christians should have a yearning like David to learn about God and how to live according to his word.  In Psalms 27:11 and 86:11, David cries out to God saying, “Teach me your way, O Lord; lead me in a straight path“ and “Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth.“

Restoration strives to provide opportunities for you to get to know God and His word better and thereby help you change and grow.

Sunday School
We have Sunday School classes for all ages every Sunday at 10 AM. At Sunday School you will learn more about the people and places of the Bible and how to apply God’s word to your daily life.

Bible Study
The cornerstone of our Bible teaching is through our Bible Study on Wednesdays at 12:30 PM and 7:00 PM Elder Hayes leads an in-depth exploration of the Scriptures, often expounding upon the previous Sunday’s sermon.  He also offers time for participants to ask questions or initiate discussions on topics of their interest.

New Member Orientation Class
For new believers and members, we offer a new member orientation class.  The class has an emphasis on the Genesis account of the creation, which establishes the foundation of the gospel. Other class topics include Baptist history, doctrines of the Bible and church etiquette.

Vacation Bible School
We hold a Vacation Bible School during one week in the month of June. Each week night we have a light dinner, classes for adults and children of all ages, crafts, music and health and wellness activities.

Biblical Counseling
Bible-based counseling provided by Elder Hayes is available to members and non-members.  If you desire pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling or family counseling, contact Elder Hayes at eldere@restorationbc.net

Heritage Baptist College
This school offers quality, low-cost, Christian education classes for degree and non—degree seeking students. Restoration is a satellite site for classes. Visit their website for more information on how to enroll.

Capital City Fellowship Missionary Baptist Association
This organization, of which Restoration is a member and Elder Hayes is the moderator, offers enhanced training for church ministries (music, ushers, brotherhood, nurses, missionaries) and conflict resolution for churches. Stay updated on CCFMBA and its events on Facebook.

The Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky has interactive attractions that bring understanding to the Biblical story of the creation. Features include 160 exhibits, a planetarium, a petting zoo, and a rainforest garden.

Answers in Genesis is a good source for believers and non-believers to find answers to questions about the creation, evolution and science.

The Institute for Creation Research is an excellent source for information about creation versus evolution.
